Event details

This edition will be held as a virtual event and aims to give the opportunity for young scientists to exchange and present chemistry advances related to all aspects of the nuclear fuel cycles.
Supported by the H2020 GENIORS program, the NFC3 conference will be organized jointly by the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA), the University of Montpellier (UM) and the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS). The conference intends to provide a unique platform dedicated to discussions on latest chemistry research progress and breakthroughs within the nuclear fuel cycle community.
The 2021 edition will include invited and contributed talks. Invited lectures will be limited to 30 minutes (+ 10 min discussion) and contributed talks will be limited to 15 minutes (+ 5 min discussion).
Oral presentations will cover the following topics dedicated to the nuclear fuel cycles:
  • Actinide and fission product chemistry
  • Actinide separation
  • Actinide materials: nuclear fuels and radwaste matrices
  • Waste conditioning and long-term behavior
  • Pyrochemistry and chemistry for molten salt reactor fuel cycle
  • Geological repository and migration
